Set in a quaint European village, this beloved ballet follows the story of the eccentric inventor, Doctor Coppélius. Young Franz finds himself enamored by the mysterious girl he spots on the balcony of Doctor Coppélius’s house, unaware that she's actually a doll the toymaker is attempting to animate. When Swanhilda, Franz's fiancée, decides to investigate and discovers the truth, she devises a playful scheme to reveal Franz's folly by impersonating the doll herself. Love ultimately triumphs, culminating in a joyous celebration of the lovers' union.

Featuring lively music by Léo Delibes and choreography by Artistic Director Salwa Rizkalla, inspired by Arthur Saint-Léon, this production showcases renowned guest artists in the lead roles. Originally premiering on May 25, 1870, at the Paris Theatre Imperial Opera, this timeless ballet continues to enchant audiences worldwide.
